Absolutely perfect to rate, sort and learn about wines. Has become an indispensable part of my wine drinking routine and the best way to understand all about the different types as well as refining and understanding my own tastes.

The app is pretty clean, straightforward and intuitive. I liked the explanations and recommendations. Just need a Dark mode and with that feature would be a 5 start for me. I’m planning on purchasing completely forever but until it’s get the Dark mode feature.

Pocket Wine is an informative and ideal app for anyone wishing to learn about wine. As a beginner, I learned a great deal in a short amount of time. This app contains a wealth of very interesting information, and its content holds my interest. I would highly recommend this app to anyone wishing to learn about the need to know information (and then some) about wine.

Great app. At first I hated having to enter in all the information, but the search feature makes up for it. Finally, a wine app that you can actually find the wine you are looking for.

I really thought this app was great until someone introduced me to the Vivino. You take a pic of a label in Vivino and it auto populates the wine details. I paid for the Pocket Wine App and it still doesn’t auto populate. It would also be nice to be able to plug-in of wine and have the wine details pop up to help me and my selection.

This is the best app I’ve seen for keeping track of my wine, understanding the grapes, and knowing how to pair foods with my specific wines. Great flexibility to set up cellar locations and vintages. Love it!

“Upgrade” options included loose everything or pay up.

People are often asking me what foods go with what or the history of a varietal. Pocket wine is my go to.

I really like the concise description of the different grapes. It helps to understand what you’re drinking. I wonder if there could be a section added for adding tasting notes for when you’re out to eat or at a tasting and aren’t adding to your cellar? That would be great.

I appreciate the detailed information, including some historical facts, pronunciation and the multiple ways in which you can navigate your learning.

Edit: see developer response. Other wine apps can autofill the wine information from a label picture. That key feature is missing here.

Not everything is in this app, but I always go here first and am usually satisfied.

Started saving my wines here and it's great. No sign in, no pushy requests, no emails, just the tools I need on wine information and to record all my favorite bottles in a nice format. Also great for managing my cellar. Wish more apps were like this.

I'm very pleased to have found this app. It's great for keeping a record of my favorite wines, where I bought them, what I paid and what I thought of them. The extensive grape and wine pairing information are first class and an added bonus.

Imagine that! Instead of just selling it! I just wish there was automated backup. Besides that the taste profile is fantastic

I add all the wines I buy to this app. It's great having a record of how much I paid, where I bought them and how I rated them. It's also so handy to see what's in my cellar. The app works as absolute treat and it's so easy to use.

I am the order writer for the wine section at a Trader Joe’s and this app has been invaluable! From the information on obscure grapes including the regions they grow in to the very detailed food pairing list, the app has been very helpful in my own personal search to discover new wines as well as help others find their new favorite.

The app is perfect for people you just fall in love with wine and want to learn everything but do not know where to start from. It covers basic pillars, we’LL organized and simply enjoyable to use!

PROS: I like that I can upload from photos. Like how many pieces of info are categorized. -it makes sorting by different things easy. Dislikes: Could be more auto-filled sections/ drop down menus. -I taste a lot of wine and it’s a bit of effort to take pics and type in each section.

I downloaded about every wine app there is for a good grape / wine style guide. This is the only one that had all the info I need. Also, the flavor test is spooky accurate and really helpful with its reccomendations!

I was allergic to red wine for years and now have outgrown the allergy so I’m wanting to learn all I can about reds...different varieties and food pairing. This app has been so helpful and I will be sharing with all my friends! It’s also a great way to track all you wines and your favorites. Thanks so much for creating this app. Customer service is excellent too!

No sign in, easy to use, looks great and packed with practical advice. A classy app to record and track your wines.

Very useful app for anyone working in the wine trade, but also for wine enthusiasts. Being able to add as many photos as you like to each bottle entry is excellent. It's great for adding screenshots of reviews and / or ratings of a wine and you can also add screenshots of data from producer websites. I do most of this on my iPhone and then view it on the iPad where it looks great in the larger format making it ideal for showing to customers. And you get all this and a ton of information on grape varieties and food pairing for just $3.99. Hard to beat.

Wish it had the ability to scan the UPCode of the wine bottle to enter the wine into the “My Wines” diary section of the App

Why would you want an app for your wine with no label or barcode scanning? After looking at 6 different apps, I finally found one called Vivino that successfully scanned the labels of all my wine with only 2% it could not recognize.

As a person new to wine I have been searching high and low for a simple app to allow me to track my wines, get information on different varieties of wine, and not have to deal with a bunch of unnecessary extras like seeing what the “pros” are drinking. This app does exactly what I need it to, but it also gives wine pairing suggestions which is completely awesome! I love this app and it is definitely worth upgrading to the full unlocked version for $3.99. With that being said, the only reason I gave this app a 4 and not a 5 star rating is because it doesn’t have the sparking wine, rose wine, and dessert wine categories, or the ability to read labels. The not having a label reading ability is in no way a deal breaker, but if at the very least the publisher adds the missing wine categories (if it ever does) I can easily give this app 5 star rating with or without label reading capabilities.

This is easily the best wine app for the iPad. Other wine apps are only designed for the iPhone or look terrible on the iPad. Have added all my wines and they look great.

Great for learning, discovering new grape varieties and for storing my wines and managing my cellar. Love the way all my wines automatically get added to the relevant grape varieties. Syncs to iPad and looks great.

This app is great! The detail provided about wines, grapes, food pairings, regions, etc. is fantastic. You will be happily satisfied with this app, particularly if you are a budding wine enthusiast.

Having recently discovered this app I have used it frequently as a quick and easy to use reference both when making retail purchases and either confirming or informing a decision on what to bring up from my own "cellar" for a meal. The app balances a good UI along with sufficient information to help wine enthusiasts at many levels.

Unable to add multiple pictures of the wine bottle, for example front and back of label. I do love this app and use it often. Hopefully the next update will have this change

I use this app all the time for wine and food pairings. We have a wine shop and frequently hold wine and cheese tastings and the feedback from our patrons is always very positive. Have learned a lot about different varietals that I wasn't previously familiar with also. Highly recommend!

The new My Wines section is an easy-to-use way to keep a record of your favorite wines. Start by taking a photograph of the label on the bottle you want to list or use one already in the photos in your phone. Fill in some information about the wine - menus in the app help you do this. Complete the entry by adding your own impressions of the wine. A great way to carry your "wine journal" with you in your phone wherever you go! It's a fine addition to this very informative app.

If I had to select just one wine app - this would be it. I have many but always end up using Pocket Wine all the time. Amazingly useful for all levels. Smart, informative and friendly. if you don't have it yet - don't waste your time and get it!
