Ive been looking for a good wine journal and cellar app for a long time and this is the best Ive found. Adding and editing wines is easy and search allows you to see your wines by producer, region or retailer. Your wines also appear in the listings for the relevant grape variety, which is a nice feature. Besides the journal element there is plenty of good information on wine in the app. Always room for improvement, but this app ticks a lot of boxes and has a nice UI.

A lovely personal wine journal and cellar app with excellent information on grape varieties - has introduced me to many great discoveries and I can easily track the grape varieties I have tried and the ones I havent. There is also a very good food pairing section and many other useful features. A great find.

Unable to add multiple pictures of the wine bottle, for example front and back of label. I do love this app and use it often. Hopefully the next update will have this change

This wine app has everything needed to start learning about wine including area originated, pairing, tasting notes , etc. I always consult this app when determining what wine to serve with dinner or visa versa.

Love this app for learning about what makes up each wine, BUT just wish the app was optimized for the iPhone 5s screen then I will give five stars.

Great app - nice variety, could always add more varieties (no rosé) and I feel like some of the grapes get pigeonholed into a category (I dont agree with Nero davola being in the big intense category for instance) but a great app for quick inspiration. Biggest thing missing though.... CHEESE PAIRINGS! If Im bothering to consult an app for pairings I feel like the odds that cheese is involved is rather high, so that feels like the biggest omission from an otherwise great app.

Great for learning wine casually, but just a little hard to study region by region. Excellent resource for the price though!

I recently started becoming more interested in wine during a recent visit to Napa, and immediately search for a tool that could further educate me on the huge varieties beyond "white or red." Fortunately I took a chance, and this app was what I was looking for! Yeah, it costs but you wont need anything else regarding a wine reference manual. Its a so useful when out shopping.

It only took me 5 minutes to decide to rate this app at 5 stars at this price. The approach and organization are spot on. I maintain a modest 60 bottle "cellar" in my 2 dual zone fridges and find the inventory apps more trouble than they are worth (end up cracking open a new wine before adding it to cellar). And I find I dont give a flip for the opinion of the others in the app community about a particular wine. You buy it, you drink it, you like it or not, and you buy it again or not. Its that simple. This app shows you other varietals to try depending on your general preference for wine. This app is the deal...an exploration tool...what really matters.

Seriously. This was exactly was I was looking for. Extremely informative, interactive and fun. This is not your standard wine app. This has information about everything from grape varieties to glossary and what is used to describe wine as well as what to look for. Wow. I am very impressed.

This is a good app but could use some improvement. I belong to several clubs and maintain a good cellar of international wines. Frequently, i csn find the correlation between the grapes and the wine because of the differences in labeling. I would like more examples of wines from regions and countries rather than just grapes. Other than that, I like the app.

(To start with my "JUST ONE THING") It really annoys me that no one has noticed that the little lemon icon next to "Crisp" under the wine styles list is pixelated and needs to be corrected so that it is sharp like the rest of the icons so it looks nice on the retina display. That being said-This is a very nicely designed app. Easy on the eyes and fingers and pretty educational. My only disappointment was with the "my taste" feature. I was hoping that it would be able to give me a list of specific wines to try based on my palette. It gives you an idea of what style wines you should try, but to someone new to wines, that doesnt do much for them at all. I was expecting something more like a short list of wines to choose from based on my taste with a percentage of how well I would like them or something of that nature. Overall though I am satisfied with the app and will take it as something interesting to read. It breaks down the wine terminology quite well and makes it all easy to understand.

This app has been a huge help for a beginner in wine appreciation. Superb and very timely feedback when asking the developer for future additions. Ive tried the more expensive wine apps and this one serves my needs, as a novice, better than the others.

This isnt your standard wine app. It doesnt give bottle ratings and reveiws. Instead, it has tons of information on grapes, including taste, pairings, history and other essential facts. It also includes a feature to predict which styles and varietals youll enjoy. And it all comes wrapped up an a clean, easy to use interface. This app is worth every dollar, and even more if youre learning or want to discover new wines.

Pocket Wine is the perfect wine app for basic and more advanced information. The structure of the app and the user interface are very intuitive. One can easily find content and the cross-reference allow the user dig deeper! Worth every cent!
