I love this app, it is a great reference with a fun layout. However it crashes so often it is almost unusable. If they could fix that problem it would be five stars.

Great app, looks good on the iPad but what about the iPhone 5? Adding location services would be awesome (places that serve wine near your location). Please update.

The app is great!

First, Im a invoice at wine. My mother knew wine and I never took the time to learn since I would just call her up and ask her for a wine choice. Now that she is gone, I am trying learn. Being I love cooking and will never cook with a wine I wont drink, this app is helping me discover new wines, learn all about grapes; what to do and dont. Its a beautifully thought out app and the latest update has completely changed the look and feel. Its beautifully done and full of information. Wonderful job.

I work in the wine industry and I often use this as a refresher. Great interface and plenty of information. I tell all of my customers about it.

Beautiful new look in latest update with lots of interesting new grape varieties added. All my notes are fine. This is definitely my favorite wine app.

This is an excellently produced wine app and the best source of quality information on grape varieties I have found. If wine is important to you I would recommend this app.

... Unless you are willing to lose all your notes when they do an upgrade! Thats what happened to me when they upgraded my ap to this current version.

Wine is such a big subject you cant keep it all in your head all of the time. This app is ideal for those of us who work in the wine trade. Its great on grape varieties and packed with very relevant information, yet still quick and easy to use. It can also teach you a thing or two.

It took me a while to make my first wine related paid app purchase. When I finally did purchase pocket wine I was not disappointed and the only drawbacks I saw were occasional crashes and the aesthetics. After last update I have not crashed once and the layout and changes are phenomenal. The content is more than I expected and the grape/food pairing areas are great. The locations could use an interactive map or at least some visuals in future update. I would definitely recommend this app for those either in the wine trade or are very interested in wine. Only negative remark I have for last update is that the app is permanently on landscape for iPad

Easy to use and very informative. Extensive information on varietals plus lots of relatively unheard of grapes; however, it is missing vast portions of the wine world such as any information regarding sparkling, rose, and fortified wines. Still, I find this app very useful and surprising at times. I would like to see a more interactive home screen. The app soon feels like a dictionary. How about some interesting facts, a quiz, something to challenge wine knowledge? Also, the "my taste" graph is cool looking...but what do I do with it? They should use it to recommend styles in your profiles preferred categories.

Lost all my wine notes with this new update! Although there may be lots of "enhancements" with the update, Id sure love to have all my notes back!!!

The app is wonderful, and the customer support by email is superb as well. I wanted clarification on a wine pairing I read about in the app, and I emailed and got a speedy, thoughtful and informative reply from Mike at PocketWine. I highly recommend this app.

This is my go to app anytime I cant remember how a varietal is generally supposed to be. Decent selection and information. Pairing suggestions could be better but not my primary usage (varietal characteristics)
